Process Engineer - CFD London - staff
We have a small consultancy team who specialise in Computational Fluid Dynamics. We are looking to add another 2 people to the team over the coming months as part of a strategic initiative to increase our capability offering to our clients. Working in the CFD team dovetails with our other Process Specialist such as Flow Assurance, RAM Studies & Situations – most of whom are world-class specialists in their respective fields. Typically our projects are Field Development Studies and naturally the CFD team are involved in mostly Simulations and Modelling work.

Good Chemical Engineering degree essential (2.1 hons or better) and MEng is preferred. At least 2 years previous CFD experience is required as an entry level – the actual packages/software used is not critical. A good career path is available here as the CFD team grows in numbers & capability over the next 12 months or so.

Job Description Engineer heavily experienced in the selection, design, installation, commissioning, startup and operation of subsea production systems. Pipeline Specialist Houston, Tx
Job description: Perform detailed advanced engineering analysis on pipelines and associated pipeline structures. Analyses undertaken will include, but not be limited to, lateral buckling, Vortex Induced Vibration analysis, fatigue assessment and axial walking. Work will also include the development of subroutines and post processing tools which are required to run the analyses models. Analysis will be performed using advanced finite element software programs. Fundamental engineering design work will also be performed including route layout design, wall thickness design, thermal expansion, onbottom stability, spanning analysis, cathodic protection design and the development of field layouts, platform approach drawings, alignment sheets and technical specifications. The following components will be analyzed: single wall flowlines, pipe-in-pipe flowlines, export pipelines, buckle arresters, bulkheads and other forgings.

Senior Subsea Controls Engineer Houston, Tx
Position & Assignments: The position, based in the Houston energy corridor, will report to the Subsea Controls & Umbilicals Engineering Manager of a large Oil & Gas engineering consulting firm. Assignments will generally require leading multi-disciplinary controls engineering teams from project definition to execution. Preference will be given to candidates with experienced in specifying systems functionality and/or interfacing with client representatives. While based in Houston, candidates must be prepared to travel (including offshore) up to 15% of the year.

Qualifications & Experience: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and five to ten years direct experience working with Subsea Control Systems.
